Inspections & Requirements: Pools
Must use approved plans.
1st Inspection:
- Setbacks footings forms, all non-exempt structures must be listed on site plan
- Steel and hardware
- Conduit
- Ground plumbing 35 p.s.i.
- Yard line gas test if applicable, 10 p.s.i.15 mins.
- Grounding and bonding, look for 4 attachments for grid, equipment, water and lighting bond and any metal within 5' of water. This is a partial inspection.
- IF THERE IS AN ACCESS WALL FOR CONSTRUCTION IT NEEDS TO BE PERMITTED AND FINALIZED PRIOR TO PRIMARY BARRIER INSPECTION, THEY MAY BE SCHEDULED TOGETHER
2nd Inspection:
- Equipotential bonding grid (This must be formed in)
- Slab grade, 4" slab if using rebar, 3 W' if copper mesh is used
- Possibly pool barrier if not it will be
3rd Inspection:
- PRIMARY BARRIER: Pool barrier fencing and' alarms,
- Rough electrical at sub panel
- Grounding and bonding, verify light w.et niche is sealed, partial inspection.
- Someone must be home for this inspection to verify alarms
4th Inspection:
- Final .
- SECONDARY BARRIER: Pool barrier and alarm finals, verify secondary barrier.
- Grounding and bonding
- Service panel
THERE MUST BE SOMEONE HOME FOR BOTH BARRIER INSPECTIONS
At every inspection we will be checking your site plan for setbacks and any other issues that might have been missed from previous inspection. Any code violations that apply to these items may or will be enforced.
No Partial inspections are allowed. Any additional inspections will result in extra fees. ( To avoid any additonal fees please make sure inspections are ready.)
