The Department of Building and Safety provides the citizens of Riverside County with courteous, efficient, and cost-effective services. The Department aims to improve the quality of life and orderly economic development by providing and managing plans review, permit issuance, and building inspections within the integrated Transportation and Land Management Agency activities.

Lobby wait times for in-person services could be 1 -2 hours or more. If you require in-person services, an appointment is highly recommended.
We also recommend submitting your application online at rivcoplus.org and submitting all other questions, status checks and inquiries to [email protected]. Due to the limited staffing please allow 5 – 7 business days for initial response to your applications and 1-2 business days for return emails.
