The Department of Building and Safety provides the citizens of Riverside County with courteous, efficient, and cost-effective services. The Department aims to improve the quality of life and orderly economic development by providing and managing plans review, permit issuance, and building inspections within the integrated Transportation and Land Management Agency activities.

Riverside County Permit Assistance Center now accepting in-person transactions for both walk-in and appointments.
Please read the following criteria:
Walk-in customer service:
• Emergency Meter Reset and/or Panel Upgrades
o BHR – Fire Damage Dwelling and no grade verification
o BMP – Code Violation inspection (Illegal Grading)
• Property Information and Permit information
• Permit Status or Permit guidance
• Condition Clearances – School Letters and/or Mitigation Fees
Permit Creation by Appointment Only :
• Manufactured Home permits (Site Prep, Install, Perm Foundation)
• Patio Covers
• Pools and Spas
• Solar
• HVAC and REROOF
• Online OAPT submittals – (Single Family Dwelling, ADU’s, Grading, Etc.)
